10 Lessons We Learned From UFC On FOX 12

1. There's No Dominant Force At Welterweight

Despite a strong showing by Lawler, I'm not 100% sold on him beating Johny Hendricks. Matt Brown obviously lost tonight, and you know what? I could see Hendricks losing the belt to any number of guys (including Lawler, despite my reservations). Rory MacDonald has a good shot, Hector Lombard when healthy does, and there are names out there like Tarec Saffiedine, Stun Gun Kim, and Tyron Woodley. They all have a chance. Since the abdication of Georges St. Pierre, welterweight has pretty much become the wild west, with no sheriff in town to keep things under control. It might go on like that for a while.
