Another little known fact about Ronda Rousey revealed during on the UFC Primetime show is that Rousey had a speech impediment growing up. The reasoning behind it will be explained in the next fact, but she had issues communicating and her older sister had to "translate" for her. However, there came a point where her mother decided to leave a little Ronda with her late father Ron which forced her to talk with her Dad. This eventually led to Rousey developing her verbal skills to a somewhat normal level. It may also explain why Rousey is so outspoken as an adult. While it maybe hard to believe that Rousey had such a developmental issue growing up, she hasn't forgotten it. In fact another example of how it influenced her in her adult life is what she revealed in UFC Primetime. She has said that whenever she sees a fan with a similar speech impediment, she takes the time to talk and encourage them. This is very appropriate because she knows the hardships they go through and what the parents have to go through. For all the faults she may have, Rousey certainly has a redeeming factor in this situation.
