5. Eder (Portugal) Vs France
Substitute Eder was the hero of the Euro 2016 final with a thunderous finish deep into extra time secured Portugal’s first European Championship title at the Stade de France.
Eder's 109th-minute goal was brilliantly taken as he marauded infield and then, from 25 yards, cracked a powerful, accurate shot to Hugo Lloris' right and one that deserved to win any final.
So much of the build-up had focused on Ronaldo and his hopes of crowning a glittering career with the only achievement missing from his CV, a piece of international silverware. Ronaldo who was stretchered off in the first half came on at the end of the game to celebrate with his teammates.
The 28-year-old (Eder) who failed to score a single goal in 15 games for Swansea and was put on loan to Lille midway became the most unlikeliest hero to win Portugal the Euro 2016.
