10 NFL Teams Most Likely To Play In Next Year's Super Bowl

9. Indianapolis Colts

The Colts had a tricky 2015 season, ending 8-8 and failing to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2011. Regardless of the issues of the season, which include an injury-plagued Andrew Luck being less impressive in his few starts during the first half of the season, the evidence suggests that 2015 is an anomaly rather than the beginning of a new trend for the franchise. Take Luck, for example. His performances may be seen as worrying, a 15-12 TD to INT comparing negatively to his 40-15 record in 2014. His 2-5 record does not indicate an elite quarterback and his eventual season ending lacerated kidney resulted in a 40 year old Matt Hasslebeck taking over the offense and performing arguably better than Luck did. This in itself proves the talent on the Colts roster, games played under Luck include an OT loss to the Panthers and a victory over Super Bowl champions Denver. The Colt's .500 strength of schedule was better than all but 2 of the AFC playoff teams and the ability to go 8-8 despite losing their star quarterback show that in better circumstances Indianapolis have the ability to go far, as they did when they reached the AFC Championship game in 2014.
