10 Players Barcelona Should Never Have Sold

6. Andoni Zubizarreta

Another member of the Johan Cruyff "dream team", experienced goalkeeper Zubizarreta enjoyed a long and fruitful career with both Barcelona and the Spanish national team. A solid, imposing figure between the goalposts, he played almost every game of Barca's four consecutive league triumphs (as well as their first ever European Cup victory in 1992). Ultimately his career at the Nou Camp was ended by one game, the humiliating 4-0 Champions League final defeat to AC Milan. The club decided an upgrade was needed, and a move to Valencia was arranged. Zubizarreta would go on to prove his doubters wrong, making a further 150 appearances for Valencia and sticking around in the national squad until his retirement in 1998. The "dream team", on the other hand, was never the same again.
