10 Predictions For UFC 196

2. Holly Holm (C) Vs. Miesha Tate

Weight Class: Women's Bantamweight Holly Holm (10-0) returns at UFC 196, and it's time for a big question to be answered: is she a one-hit wonder? Or does the woman who knocked out Ronda Rousey have staying power in the UFC? Her opponent, Miesha Tate (17€“5), is the only woman to go three rounds with Rousey (Holm herself finished Rousey in two). That said, Tate lost both her fights with Rousey - but held Strikeforce gold, and on any given day can beat any girl in the division whose initials don't start with R.R. Tate's a gritty fighter who can hold her own in a brawl and has solid takedowns and top control. She'll buckle down and press through adversity. Holm is the best striker in the division with stellar kicks and accuracy. It's almost impossible not to root for Tate, who is the full package yet for some reason continually gets overlooked by the UFC's marketing arm. That said, it feels like, once again, she's in the right place at the wrong time. Holm might just be the one fighter besides Rousey to make short work of Tate. Look for her to keep her distance, fight her range, and pick her apart with kicks and combos. Holm by TKO.
