10 Reasons Ronda Rousey Is The Most Lethal Unarmed Woman On Earth
7. Supporting The Bantamweight Division
All UFC weight classes have an end game. For featherweight competitors, it's Jose Aldo and/or Conor McGregor. For men's bantamweight it's TJ Dillashaw. For women's bantamweight, it is of course Ronda Rousey. Everyone inside this group is desperate to be matched with her, and it's not only because a fight equals a title shot. Fighting Rousey grants the challenger a heightened level of exposure they wouldn't normally receive thanks to the enormous promotional campaigns that render her PPV efforts. Former rivals such as Cat Zingano, Bethe Correia and particularly Sarah McMann have become more prominent names in the franchise since facing off with the champ. Many claim Rousey has shattered the bantamweight division and that there aren't any fights left for her in this weight range. Whilst she is undoubtedly Goliath in a pool full of Davids, all the while the little guy is able to take a shot, she will keep the division alive with a vibrant heart and hunger.
