1. O.J.
In June 1994, the bodies of Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman were discovered with multiple stab wounds outside of a condo in Brentwood, LA. Evidence found near the scene placed former Buffalo Bills / San Fancisco 49ers Running Back (And ex-husband of Nicole) - O.J. Simpson at the scene.
The ensuing case was probably the most publicised in American history, and despite the fact that O.J. was already 15 years removed from the league by this point, his past as an NFL star was repeatedly brought into the public eye.
