9. His Father Never Wanted Him To Be A Footballer
So, the story goes that Niasses father was dead against him pursuing his dream of becoming a professional footballer, but he defied dear old dad in pursuit of a trial with Ouakam, a less-than-fashionable club at the time due to their second-tier status. Parents arent always right, and its a safe bet to assume that Niasse senior was filled with pride to see his son emerge as one of Senegals brightest homegrown products. He went on to represent his country six times at Under-23 level, before making the step up to the Senegal senior squad. As a full international, he's scored twice in five appearances.
