1. Too Eager To Share
To further illustrate the point that Mayweather and social media are uncomfortable bedfellows, he spent several years in a relationship with Shantel Jackson, an actress and model, and the two were even engaged at one point. The relationship went sour, however, amid reports of infidelity on the part of Mayweather. The boxer took to humiliating his former fiancée online by posting unflattering pictures of her on Instagram, but went one step further with a Facebook post documenting the 'real' reason for their breakup. Mayweather posted a sonogram image and alleged that Jackson had aborted twin foetuses, writing: "She killed our twin babies." Understandably, there was a rapid online backlash and he subsequently deleted the post, but the damage was already done. There is such a thing as too much 'sharing'. The ultrasound scan has been cited in a lawsuit filed by Jackson earlier this week. She has made numerous claims of physical and emotional abuse, accusing the boxer of beating her, blackmailing her, and also alleging that he once held her at gunpoint and threatened to shoot her. So maybe you'll be rooting for Maidana on Saturday night. What do you think of Mayweather now? Tell all below.
