10 Things I Learned From Wimbledon 2013

4. Bryan Brothers Doubles Domination

007

The 35 year old American twins Mike and Bob are simply put the greatest double€™s team in tennis history. They have been number one top seeds for 319 consecutive weeks and have won more double matches that any other doubles pairing. The twins are pretty much unbeatable and dominate the doubles in a way no one has ever seen before; their victory at this year€™s Wimbledon wasn€™t a huge surprise as they have won 2 previous Wimbledon doubles championships.

The only shocking part of their final was the fact they dropped the first set to Ivan Dodig and Marcelo Melo before normal service kicked into gear and they took the next 3 sets and the Wimbledon title meaning they could end with their famous jumping up chest bump celebration. Winning Wimbledon this year means the brothers currently hold all 4 Grand Slam doubles championships and if they are victorious at the US Open then they will be the champions of all 4 Grand Slams in the same calendar year.

The brothers are just a scary near unbeatable team and with all those achievements already under their belts you have to wonder just how long they can keep going. The desire and passion those two must have for tennis is amazing to keep going after all the success they have had and they still look as happy winning championships now as they did when they first started. They are without question the greatest doubles pairing ever sure they are not tested against the very best male players in the world but still they dominate the doubles game like no one else before them.
