Terry was only banned for 4 matches when he was accused of racially abusing Anton Ferdinand. But the incident has left a significant blot on his reputation. The FA found Terry guilty of calling Ferdinand a "black c**t" whilst playing against QPR in 2012. His sentence was surprisingly short, and Terry still denies the charge. But Anton and his brother Rio still stand by the accusations. The FA panel concluded that Terry was "probably not a racist", which would be a fine sentiment if not for that word "probably". The fact that he gave them cause to think he might have been is pretty disgraceful. His defence was found to be "improbable, implausible and contrived" in the full report. It was irresponsible and disgusting behaviour. A recent story has shown how certain sections of Chelsea's fanbase delights in their captain's reputation as a racist. Terry's the only person to blame for his idiotic and horrible behaviour.
