2. The UFC Put Him Up In The Presidential Suite Of The Red Rock Casino And Spa
Leading into UFC 178, Conor McGregor was booked into the presidential suite of the Red Rock Casino and Spa. Opponent Dustin Poirier? Well, lets just say that his accommodations were a little less lavish, something the fighter commented on. You could consider this a bit of special treatment, but then, the UFC knows full well that it has a star on its hands, and with Ronda Rousey and maybe Donald Cerrone being the only other "star" fighters to fight frequently at the moment (Cerrone's star is still rising, so it's hard to tell how popular he really is), they need all the help they can get. Either way, with many fighters complaining about how the UFC treats the pre-fight (not enough plane tickets for team members, etc.), this is certainly a different approach by the UFC, and definitely not the norm.
