1. Listen To Sam Allardyce

The managerial roundabout for Sunderland is baffling. There's a blend of every type of manager in there. Safe passing Poyet, experienced Advocaat, madcap Di Canio. Tried and tested managers have failed at Sunderland to the point where you've got to question whether it really is the manager's fault. A little while back I would've be totally opposed to Allardyce, but the more I hear, the more impressed I am. It's fantastic news that he's the Sunderland MANAGER as opposed to head coach, and while he's an old-school gaffer with a gritty formula for success, he's immensely forward-thinking, honest, and determined to keep his team in the league. Sam Allardyce is a football man, owner Ellis Short is not. He must listen to every word that comes out of Allardyce's mouth and trust him, while the fans and players should also follow suit. Get on the Allardyce train, and let's see where it takes the club...
