10 Things UFC Want You To Forget About Chuck Liddell

10. Dancing With The Stars

It will come as a great surprise to learn that Chuck Liddell €“ known as one of the most brutal strikers in the history of the UFC €“ took part in the ninth series of Dancing with the Stars. That€™s right: The Iceman exchanged the blood, bruises and sweat of the Octagon for the glitz, glamour and slightly less sweat of the dance floor. Though clearly intended as a tongue-in-cheek appearance, seeing Chuck spinning around showing his whitened teeth did damage the image of the former-light heavyweight champion. Perhaps even worse, despite his still being a professional athlete at the time of filming, Liddell was only able to muster an eleventh place finish out of the 16-C-list celebrities competing, beaten by the likes of Melissa Joan Hart, Kelly Osbourne and Donny Osmond (who went on to win the whole competition). It would be bad enough seeing a legend of the sport dancing around the place anyway, but rubbing shoulders with a gaggle of celebrities desperate to revive their deflating careers is below Chuck Liddell; this is doubtless a reality show the UFC would rather we all forget about (this and TUF 13).
