However, a concussion suffered during training has kept him on the sidelines ever since, and as a result, he has likely lost his shot (he's also been removed from the UFC's official rankings for the lightweight division). You could do worse, however, than give Grant his title shot whenever he's ready to return to action. Grant is currently on a 5-fight win streak, including victories over Evan Dunham, Matt Wiman, and Gray Maynard (the last one a brutal knockout). He's a meat and potatoes sort of fighter, and you're not going to get a lot of trash talk out of him, but you will get a solid effort in the octagon, and frankly, the guy had already earned his shot. Sadly, there's no word yet on when Grant will return.
