Fighters can use a nickname to sound tougher or street-smart for sure, but this just makes you sound like a total and utter moron. Even worse is when Bruce Buffer is forced to announce it; you can see his brain cells slowly dying throughout the introduction. Adding further insult to injury, "Da Last Samurai" isn't even a black belt in any martial arts, rather a mediocre brown belt in karate. There are numerous seven year olds with this level of training. This being said, Smolka is still very young (only 24) and already has an impressive record across the flyweight division - currently standing at 9-1.
