Steve Ogrizovic truly had the hard, protuberant facial features of a comic book gangster - just like the Brute Man (or the Creeper, as he was also known) in the 1946 Universal horror movie of the same name - thanks largely to a nose that had obviously suffered a number of breaks in his playing career. The Brute Man movie starred Rondo Hatton - a man renowned for his stern features and who would often play thuggish characters in movies around that time in his somewhat brief, but extremely prolific career - and you'd be forgiven for getting him mixed up with the former goalie.
