12 Worst Players Currently Playing For Premier League's Top 6
9. Francis Coquelin
Coquelin is basically the playing version of Arsene Wenger, in that he's been at the Emirates forever (close to 10 years, in fact, making him the longest-serving player in the squad) and it's beginning to feel like it's probably time to call it a day.
The Frenchman has a function in the Arsenal side, to be fair - that being the ability to pop up with a tough-tackling, talismanic performance two or three times a season and subsequently be heralded as the long-awaited answer to the Gunners' lack of midfield bite.
But that has, historically, had less to do with his own quality than the fact that - until the signing of Mohamed Elneny - he was pretty much the only Arsenal midfielder capable of putting his foot in (and not getting sent off in the process).
