20 Reasons Why Spurs Fans Are Jealous Of Arsenal
7. Arsenal Actually Moved Stadium
In the summer of 2006, Arsenal opened the doors on their impressive 60,000-seater Emirates stadium. Whilst Highbury was a magical sporting venue, the new arena has allowed the club to flourish and generate new levels of commercial success that just weren’t previously viable.
The Emirates remains London’s biggest club stadium by a considerable distance and Tottenham have tried to bridge the gap ever since. The White Hart Lane club even wanted to relocate to Stratford before rivals West Ham United beat them to the Olympic Stadium tenancy.
Spurs are supposedly moving into a new 56,000 White Hart Lane ahead of the 2018/19 season but we’ll believe it when we see it. Even if they do, they’ll still be some way behind the Emirates.
