Although never the keenest to engage in such deals, Mayweather did negotiate payments with Burger King, Hublot, and FanDuel in the lead-up to the bout. Not only is Mayweather the highest paid sportsman of last year, his earnings actually broke the record for annual athlete earnings. The previous figure was held by Tiger Woods, who made $115m in 2008 - and Floyd's increase on that figure shows just how astronomical his figures have been over the past twelve months.
