3 Reasons Why Formula One Needs To Change

1. The New Teams Haven't Scored A Point Between Them

wwdwwd After the demise of HRT at the end of 2012 isn't it time to look at the fact that these new teams, not for lack of effort, have not scored a point between them and are lacking behind technology wise? Apart from Caterham, which could be argued is making a good go of it but without the results, Marussia and HRT lacked behind in the latest technologies. Marussia, formerly Virgin F1, has only just installed KERS on to it's cars - that was a technology available in 2011 - no wonder the cars generally acted as mobile obstacles. Surely the Formula One Management should have made sure that this sort of disparity couldn't continue to keep happening. You can't even blame first year blues - Caterham are a well respected sports car manufacturer, Marussia A.K.A Manor are a very respected race outfit, only HRT had cause for concern when they couldn't get sponsorship together. It's not like new teams coming in to top flight racing can't succeed - going back to the WEC (sorry if I am boring you but it is one of the best racing series!) - Toyota developed an LMP1 car (basically an F1 car if F1 cars looked more built up) with never before raced systems and ended up challenging Audi - the stalwarts of endurance racing - all the way to the end of the season - even claiming wins in Fuji, Shanghai and Bahrain. So shouldn't that suggest that even with the limited Toyota Motorsport budget teams can still have a good crack at it?
