30. The Natives Are Getting Restless

This cliche applies to the increasing frustration of fans as they watch their team slide to yet another spirit-nulling nil-nil or crushing home defeat, and is used gleefully by commentators around the sixty minute mark. However, one must not whip out this cliche on a whim, for without exception it's only ever used to describe fans of northern clubs, and more often than not, Newcastle United fans specifically. While not an offensive term exactly, it doesn't really reek of compliments either. Therefore, let it be retired.
