4 Main Card Predictions For Bellator 128

1. Eduardo Dantas (c) vs. Joe Warren

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zb-mhiHPZJ8 Weight Class: Bantamweight Bellator has put on several consistent if not great cards so far this season, and this looks to be another one. We'll admit - we sort of like Joe Warren (11-3). He promotes. He insists he's the baddest man on the planet (though never within earshot of Mike Tyson). He's held gold in two weight classes. The problem with Warren, however, is that he got involved in the game late. He went pro in 2009, fighting three times in Dream before joining Bellator. Now 37 years old, a lot of the questions surrounding Warren involve "what if he had transitioned to MMA sooner?" He was a stud in the amateur wrestling world, and uses that ability well, but there's the old dog, new tricks conundrum. Really, Warren has done quite well for himself given how late he got started in MMA - a Bellator featherweight title and interim bantamweight title is nothing to sneeze at. Would he go far in the UFC? Maybe not, but in the shallower waters of Bellator MMA, he's a big fish. Enter the problem: Eduardo Dantas (16-3) is a top bantamweight. As in, would be top 10, top 5 even in the UFC. He trains with Nova Uniao, home to Jose Aldo and Renan Barao. Until Barao lost his title earlier this year, the three made up a trio of dominant champions at the fight camp. Dantas' lone recent blemish was a loss outside Bellator to Tyson Nam at a Shooto event in Brazil that changed how Bellator handles champions competing outside the promotion. Warren looked good against Rafael Silva earlier this year, and will be the toughest test for Dantas to date. However, he's faster, more explosive, aggressive, and should be able to overcome Warren's wrestling. We expect a Dantas win somewhere in the third or fourth, by TKO. Though we'd be perfectly happy were Warren to upset.
