5 Budding Female Stars In The UFC

5. Holly Holm

Opening our list is bantamweight standout Holly Holm. We've talked about Holly's UFC signing in the past, and fans were excited to see her join the promotion. Ronda Rousey is open to fighting her, and things were all lined up for Holm to make her debut this December, until injury stuck.

That's a harsh blow. Holm, who is undefeated in the MMA world, and was a women's boxing champion, was set to be the next big star at bantamweight. She'll lose a little bit of momentum due to the injury, but when she does hit the octagon for her first fight, should she win, and win decisively, she could very quickly be up there with the names Rousey and Tate (along with Carano and Cyborg) when it comes to the top fighters in women's MMA.

There's still a question about her ground game and takedown defence, but she's training with Jackson-Winklejohn, one of the best camps in all of mixed martial arts.
