5 Lessons Learned From Bellator 123

3. If You Blinked, You Missed Brennan Ward vs. Tamdan McCrory

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-DCRt5KSKs Want to know how easy it was to miss Ward vs. McCrory? For starters, we missed it in our main event preview - because it originally looked as if it would cap off the preliminary portion of the card. However, Bellator 123 underwent a bit of a shuffle, with the original card opener of Lashley vs. Burns swapped with Kongo vs. Johnson. In the fight game, things are just fluid. In the cage, it was easy to miss - but for a very different reason. McCrory upset Ward, connecting with several solid punches and knocking him out, sending him crashing to the mat to the point that he was completely disoriented for several moments. All that went down in 21 seconds. A great striking clinic by McCrory, if a short one, but it definitely got the crowd going after two straight submission finishes.
