5 Lessons Learned From Bellator 123

1. A Title Changed Hands In A Fantastic Bout

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hg5aT9tmusw Patricio Pitbull vs. Pat Curran, the featherweight champ of Bellator heading into the night, hands down stole the show Friday night at Bellator 123. It was an action packed fight that went back and forth and could be considered one of the best fights in both fighter's careers. In the end, Pitbull took the unanimous decision win, and there's a good chance you'll see a third bout between the two down the line (Curran won in their first meeting, back in January 2013). All signs leading into the fight were of a possible changing of the guard; Curran had just won his title back from Daniel Straus, although it should be noted that even in defeat, Curran fought a better fight tonight than he did in his rematch with Straus. The featherweight division in Bellator is one of its most stacked, and anything is possible moving forward. The main lesson learned: there are a number of legit title holders in the division, and we learned it thanks to a fantastic title fight tonight!
