5 Main Card Predictions For UFC 177

4. Ramsey Nijem vs. Carlos Diego Ferreira

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--Nc6u87bdk Weight Class: Lightweight So we come to the second bout of UFC 177, and we have the same issue here as with the first: there's no name value here. This is a fight that fits in on a free Fight Night card, or on a preliminary card of a PPV. On the main card of a PPV? Well, Carlos Diego Ferreira is notable for one thing: sending former TUF champion Colton Smith packing from the UFC. That was Ferreira's first and only UFC fight, and frankly, Smith was the worst TUF champion in the reality show's 19 season and counting history. To think that the win - where Smith exposed his neck and basically gave the bout to Ferreira - gets Ferreira any sort of pull with fans, at least enough to put him on a main card, is ludicrous. Ramsey Nijem, meanwhile, is still the guy we remember most for dancing half-naked on TUF. He's had an okay run in the UFC since losing to Tony Ferguson in the TUF 13 finale, and has a 5-3 record overall. He enters this bout on a two-fight win streak - but again, he's not a fighter who should be on a main card at this point in his career. With another win or two, or at least a win over a bigger name, sure. Not yet. When it comes down to who wins this, rather than if it should be on the main card at all, give it to Nijem by decision.
