5 Main Card Predictions For UFC 180

5. Edgar Garcia vs. Hector Urbina

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=td6PYLxnwMI Weight Class: Welterweight Following the format used for most Brazilian events, the UFC has signed a number of local talents to appear on its debut card in Mexico, and it's a questionable move at best when you find them opening a PPV. Edgar Garcia (14€“3) is returning to the promotion on a 7-1 stretch after going 0-2 in his first UFC run. However, while it might pump up the local crowd to see a Mexican fighter, what this fight is doing on a PPV card at a time when buyrates are down is anyone's guess. Injuries are no excuse: cards simply need to be deeper. Hector Urbina (16-8-1) meanwhile, is 3-3-1 in his last seven, and is an even more questionable decision. It's his debut UFC fight, and having two guys who have no name value open a PPV card is head-scratching. That said, when it comes to action in the ring, well Garcia has the edge. With a better record and stints in the WEC, Bellator, and Taichi Palace, he should be able to come out on top. Urbina did turn up in Bellator where he went 1-1, but Garcia has been here before, and octagon jitters may come into play. Garcia by decision.
