3. Iuri Alcântara vs. Jimmie Rivera
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Em_5oDJyofg Weight Class: Bantamweight With apologies to Iuri Alcantara and Jimmie Rivera, this is the one bout on the card that on paper makes you think it's just filler, if only due to name value. That said, this is also one of those bouts that could steal the show, so don't think of it as a bathroom break bout. Iuri Alcantara (336 (1)) is a top fifteen guy in the UFC and has been for a while, with losses to only Urijah Faber and Frankie Saenz since 2013 (Saenz, in turn, has only lost to Faber of late). Fighting for well over a decade, Alcantara is one of those guys who has always been around and is a tough test for any bantamweight. And though he holds a black belt in jiu-jitsu, he's just as likely to knock you out. Jimmie Rivera (181) hasn't lost since his second pro fight in 2008, and is 2-0 in the UFC thus far. Alcantara can be seen as a step up for for Rivera, and should be a good test of where he's at. Look for the vet Alcantara to lock in the sub, as Rivera needs a few more fights against tougher competition to really blossom.
