1. Not The Main Man
From being a captain, talisman and top scorer at Arsenal, the Dutchman goes to United as just one of many stars. At Arsenal, the team revolved around Van Persie, and he was the star man for them last season. His team-mates would constantly seek him out with the ball and the attack would revolve around getting the ball to RVP. At Manchester United, he will not be regarded as the focal point, with such star players as Wayne Rooney, Nani and Paul Scholes in the attack. This could have a hugely detrimental effect on the strikers confidence. Once again looking to his performances with Holland, he has proven to be far less effective when he is not the main man of the team and is surrounded by players capable of doing a lot more without him.
