5 Reasons Why Liverpool Must Sign Lyon's Alexandre Lacazette
3. The Money Is Available
Liverpool have been guilty of wasting unnecessary money on below average players in the past (Iago Aspas anyone?) but having just sold Raheem Sterling to Manchester City for nearly £50million, the money is there to spend on a quality player.
Newcastle United were quoted £16million for the French international this time last year, but that price could have doubled given the performances of the 24 year old in the season just gone. Even at £30million, which does seem exceedingly high, there would be change to spare and Liverpool would have gained a top class striker.
