Schweinsteigers name literally translates into two halves. Schwein mostly commonly translates into pig, while Steiger means either a climber or a foreman, normally at a mine. In a slang sense, Schwein is also used in a poor bastard context, but it is more often the man marking Schweinsteiger who is the unfortunate one.
