3. No One Is Leaving
Whether due to two administrations or otherwise, when bigger dogs came sniffing we inevitably said goodbye. Since then, however, no one we've wanted to keep has been sold; but this summer it looked like we might have had had to have said farewell to some important names. Teams were lurking around James McCarthur while Scott Dann was seemingly en route to Everton- who made at least one concrete offer- and yet, the signing of Cabaye was quickly followed by the news that both McCarthur and Dann had signed long term contracts. The players all seem happy and content to stay and the days of saying goodbye to all our players we wanted to keep seem to be over. We will lose players again because, like every team other than Bayern, Barcelona and Madrid we are a selling club, but I'm no longer worried by the 'might' of Everton, West Ham or Southampton
