Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is one of the best RBs in the NFL this year and he has been for the past decade, but he's a very unique guy too. Lynch has been fined repeatedly this year for refusing to talk to the media. He also made the news this week for simply saying "I'm just here so I won't get fined" at the Tuesday Media Day session and then the next day he just said "you know why I'm here" repeatedly. He also got fined for wearing his "BeastMode" hat because the NFL only wants players wearing licensed merchandise. The whole thing is funny, but it shouldn't take away from his on field play. Lynch is an absolute beast on the field. He's a unique blend of speed mixed with power. When it looks like he's going to get tackled, he ends up breaking free and running for more yards. He's also an above average blocker and a good pass receiver as well. There's really nothing he can't do on the field. Lynch was incredible during the NFC Title game against the Packers. He rushed for 157 yards on 25 carries (that's an impressive 6.3 yards per carry) with one TD. When the game was on the line with the Seahawks down two scores, it was Lynch that was the steady hand that propelled them forward. Wilson may get the credit at the QB, but if it wasn't for Lynch's big runs then they don't win that game. The game plan for the Seahawks isn't going to surprise the Patriots. They're going to run Lynch early and often. They will force the Patriots to decide whether they want to load the box with eight guys to try to stop Lynch or if they try to make Lynch beat him. My feeling is that Lynch will get going early, the Pats will then start to focus on him more and that will open everything else up. Here are the highlights from Lynch with his catchphrase. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HP8UoBUm1sY People may laugh at him for his antics, but when he's on the field he's a difference maker and if the Pats don't stop him he's going to be a big reason why the Seahawks win.
