Officially, the New England Patriots are one play call ahead of the Seahawks in terms of their talent, boasting a roster bulging with stars, and they too had to settle for looking into the future with many of their picks in this year's draft. DT Malcom Brown looks set to be a worthy, mighty replacement for the departed icon Vince Wilfork, but after him, there's not a whole lot to brag about. S Jordan Richards probably went too high - in the second round - and their fifth round pick was spent on long snapper Joe Cardona, a naval academy officer playing for the Navy team. Maybe he is a good snapper, but using a 5th round pick on him, really? Again, the Patriots have an immense amount of quality in the team, though much of their season could hinge on whether they can cope without Tom Brady, and how he can re-adapt to the side. They should be fine, but their draft results didn't inspire huge confidence.
