Arsenal Transfers: Robin Van Persie's 6 Best Moves

2. Juventus

Appeal: Champions League, possible extended success. Negatives: Comparatively weaker Champions League chance. If Van Persie wants a completely fresh start, and the opportunity to test himself outside of the Premier League, he could do worse than joining up with Italian champions Juventus, who would relish his experience and his potency in front of net as they look to extend their reign as Champions, and make a real attempt at the Champions League. Though they made it through the season unbeaten last year, and had a hugely impressive defensive record with just 20 goals conceded all term, Juve drew 15 games, and scored less than second placed Milan, whose striking options were far more varied than Juventus' own. The Italian champions could do with someone of Van Persie's single-mindedness to increase their goal tally - an option Milan have with Zlatan Ibrahimovic - and if he were a success, they could probably guarantee a similar goal return to the Swede. The problem for Van Persie would be the culture shock of moving to Italy, where the football is far removed from the fast pace of the Premier League - a fact which has chewed up former Premier League stars very quickly in the past.
