After Norwich and Newcastle attained Premier League safety at the weekend and Tottenham Hotspur cranked up the pressure on Arsenal for the final spot in the top four, this game is a must win for both sides. The Gunners can leapfrog Spurs back into 4th place with a win at the Emirates tonight and set up a final-day-of-the-season shootout with their London rivals for the last remaining, and so coveted, Champions League spot. A draw or defeat on the other hand would put Andre Villas-Boas' side firmly back in the driving seat. Wigan on the over hand are more concerned about avoiding the Championship and must now put those memories of FA Cup glory at the weekend behind them - a defeat here today would confine them to relegation from the top flight. A draw meanwhile would make Aston Villa safe and leave Sunderland the only team catchable, and a win would set up a mouth-watering encounter with Villa on the last day next Sunday and leave Southampton, Fulham and Sunderland sweating. There are more permutations than you can shake a stick at tonight, and we expect affairs at both ends of the Premier League spectrum to become just that little bit clearer by the end of play. Expect drama, expect goals, and for one of these sides, expect heartbreak.
