2. James Anderson
It's amazing to think about the quality and consistency that we have seen from Jimmy Anderson in an England shirt over the years. He is another one in the group that has had the experience of playing so many international tests. It's fair to say that if Broad doesn't do the business with the ball then Anderson usually will. He is still so often the go-to bowler when a wicket is needed, and I'm sure that will come into play again over the course of this series. Anderson was influential with the ball during the Ashes series earlier this year and he certainly has the ability to be England's saviour again. As much as Chris Tremlett and Graeme Swann are important alternative options for England, it's arguably the collective performance of Broad and Anderson that hole the key for the bowling attack.
