Ashes 2013: Who Should Partner Alastair Cook As England's Other Opening Batsman?

Stephen Moore

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chxAQqUW45w South African born, but English qualified cricketer, Stephen Moore has been one of the first names on the Lancashire team sheet ever since leaving Worcestershire. An experienced 32 year old, Moore has faced some of the best bowling in the world and learned to adapt his game accordingly. Unlike many of the other names on this list, Moore is a rather flashy batsman and is always likely to score quick runs. However, a nasty shoulder injury in 2010 dented his chances of receiving an England call up and allowed other players to push for their place. He has since recovered and once again shone out in the middle. Nevertheless, I now believe Moore may be past any chance of gaining a test cap, however he would always be a reliable replacement for any top order batsman that was struggling.
