10 Greatest Ever Celtic Managers

10. Jozef Venglos

After holding the manager's position at Celtic for just 50 matches and having failed to build on the club's title success of the previous season, our choice of Jozef Venglos over a couple of other options may appear a tad out of the blue. However, while Venglos only lasted a season in which Rangers secured each of the three domestic honours, the Slovakian was responsible for bringing several players to Celtic Park who would eventually play a huge part in the club's success during the following years. Lubomir Moravcik was signed for just £300,000 and scored 35 goals in 129 games from midfield, while Venglos gave the go-ahead to bring Mark Viduka to Glasgow. His most productive signing would be Johan Mjallby, however, with the centre-back being plucked from Swedish football for £1.5m and playing an integral part in helping Celtic to seven trophies and the UEFA Cup final during his six-year spell.
