There was no doubting in 2015 that the atmosphere in the MGM Grand was pretty tepid for the Mayweather-Pacquiao match-up. This was in no small part down to the fact that if you weren't rich, you probably had to sell your children to get in the building. The cheapest ticket was $1,500, and that's if you could get your hands on them first time around. A lot of tickets for that fight went at multiple times the face value price,

It may be weird to make a football analogy here, but ask any fan of a Premier League team in England, especially the larger clubs, how the atmosphere has been hurt in the past 20 years because working class fans have been priced out of some places. Most season tickets in the Premier League will be cheaper than a ticket to Mayweather vs. McGregor.

Throw travel and accommodation and the rest on top, and this fight just won't be viable for most people.

Nothing helps promote that big fight feel quite like a crowd that is on the edge of their seats, buzzing in anticipation. While it would be unfair to say there is more atmosphere on the moon than there will be in the T-Mobile Arena, there's also a good chance Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Arthur Abraham and UFC Glasgow, taking place on consecutive days in July, will have louder, more passionate crowds.
