Crystal Palace 1-2 Bournemouth - 6 Things We Learned

1. Palace Need To Score Three A Game

In their last five games, Palace have conceded thirteen goals. That is an abominable record and the simple fact is that, on average, they need to now score more just about three goals a game to have a hope of getting anything out of them. Despite this run of conceding, the back five has remained unchanged throughout this horrible period. Players like Brede Hangeland, Adrian Mariappa and Martin Kelly may not be exciting names and they may not illicit a sense of excitement in the fans but they must be wondering what they have to get a look in. They know they are not first choice but, if it ultimately doesn't matter what happens on the pitch; that the team could lose three-nil every game and the back five would remain unchanged; they going to wonder what the point of staying at Palace is. I actually don't want to imagine what Julian Speroni is thinking right now.
