FA Cup Final: Chelsea 1-0 Liverpool, Half-Time Report. Ramires Scores For Chelsea

Chelsea hold a slender half-time lead at 1-0 in the FA Cup Final.

The FA Cup Final kicked off at 5.15pm and the game is live on both ESPN and ITV 1. Chelsea hold a slender half-time lead at 1-0, in front of almost 90,000 fans at Wembley. Chelsea took the lead in the game through Ramires after 11 minutes. The midfielder broke away from Jose Enrique and slotted via the out-stretched leg of Pepe Reina who couldn't keep the shot out. The Liverpool goalkeeper will have been disappointed to concede at his near post. The game never really got going in the first half, with poor passing in the final third a problem for both sides. Chelsea's only further attempts on Reina's goal were 30 yard efforts which didn't cause Kenny Daglish's men any concern. But Liverpool's own attacking threat was practically non-existent, managing just 2 weak shots on goal. There was just 1 corner in the first half, which is an indication of where the majority of the game has been played thus far. Mikel was booked for Chelsea, while Daniel Agger picked up a yellow card towards the end of the half. Andy Carroll and Fernando Torres started the match on the bench for their respective clubs. Kenny Daglish is unlikely to leave it too long before changing things in the second half with his side struggling to make headway.
