Fantasy Football undoubtedly adds a whole extra layer of excitement - and gut-punching disappointment - to the football season, and part of that fun is being rewarded for taking a punt on a player and then being able to laugh in the face of your pals.

Of course, there's always going to be a certain amount of big hitters in each and every Fantasy Football team, with Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling, Mo Salah, Harry Kane, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang just a handful of the go-to stars that will feature in most people's plans.

But while it's all well and good splurging your money on a star-studded side, there is always going to be the need to flesh out your squad with some cheaper options. And that's where we've got your back!

Here, we've scoured through the players available for Fantasy Football selection and have picked 11 absolute bargains - as per the price listings on the official Premier League Fantasy Football site - that should help in your quest for FF dominance.

11. Angus Gunn (Southampton) - £4.5 Million

After signing from Manchester City for £13.5 million last summer, many had high hopes that Angus Gunn would relish the prospect of first-team football at St. Mary’s.

He did, but it took a little while for the 6’5” stopper to cement himself as Saints’ number 1.

By the time that the 2018/2019 campaign came to a close, Gunn was Ralph Hasenhuttl’s first choice goalkeeper.

With Hasenhuttl now having had a full pre-season with his Southampton players, many are expecting the side to be a vastly different beast to the one that was involved in a relegation battle for the majority of last season. And key to that is a sturdy backline.

For £4.5 million and nailed-on to be a starter for Hasenhuttl’s men, Angus Gunn looks like a smart bet to have in your Fantasy Football squad – either as your starting ‘keeper or as your back-up option.

With great reflexes and good at one-on-ones, there’s a solid chance that Gunn will wrack up a good amount of bonus points if Saints are indeed going to impress this year.
