Formula One: 2013 Season Preview

The TV Coverage

Jake HumphreyIn The UK: Like last season, Sky Sports F1 will air all of the year€™s races live, as well as qualifying, Friday testing and other programming, whilst the BBC will offer live coverage of the Chinese, Spanish, Canadian, British, Belgian, Italian, Japanese, Indian and Brazilian Grands Prix, complemented by a series of highlights packages for the race€™s that they don€™t air live. The departure of Jake Humphrey from the BBC to front BT Vision€™s newly acquired football coverage means that Suzi Perry, best known for her tenures on the Gadget Show and the BBC€™s MotoGP coverage, will take over as host alongside Eddie Jordan and David Coulthard. Sky meanwhile, have dropped Georgie Thompson from their line-up of presenters, increasing Natalie Pinkham€™s role to compensate. In The USA: Following seventeen years of airing on Speed, a cable channel dedicated to Motorsport, 2013 will see Formula One broadcast on NBC, with four races scheduled for broadcast on the company€™s main channel and the other fifteen set to air on the NBC Sports Network And there you have it, everything you need to know ahead of the beginning of the 2013 season. Bring it on!
