Gary Neville Becomes England's New Hope

The 37 year old former England international and Manchester United legend has agreed a 4 year deal with the FA.

After acquiring his UEFA Grade A and B coaching license, Gary Neville has finally lived his dream of coaching England for the Euros. The 37 year old former England international and Manchester United legend has agreed a 4 year deal with the FA, making an immediate start into his coaching career. "Roy asking me to be a part of his staff and to work with the national team is not only an honour but a very special moment for me" Neville said, before licking his lips at the opportunity of giving former team mates and adversaries the run around. His career for England is nothing short of spectacular, mind. Neville had made 85 appearances for England before retiring in 2009, representing his country in the 1996, 2000 and 2004 European Championships, as well as the 1998 and 2006 World Cups. His wealth of experience cannot be ignored, and if his coaching style is anything compared to his punditry, then the players will be worked to the bone to put on the best performance they can. Roy Hodgson, newly elected England manager, spoke fondly of his appointment: "Gary has achieved so much in the game as a player with Manchester United and England, He has obtained Uefa coaching qualifications and will be tremendously respected by the players because of his vast experience as a player. "At my first meeting with The FA, I explained that Gary was someone I wanted as part of my staff. "I think it is very important we have a younger coach who knows the dressing room and is very experienced at international level. That he has represented England as a player at five major tournaments will make him an invaluable member of staff." Neville has had his critics over the years, falling out with nearly everybody because of his apparent carefree attitude to speaking his mind, which has made as many enemies as he has fans. But one things for sure; he'll put his heart into the job. And that's all that England cares about.
