Man City vs Everton - 5 Reasons Why Toffee's Undefeated Streak Is About To End
2. Joe Hart
The man to come out of the Bayern result with his reputation more badly dented then anyone would be a certain Mr Joesph Hart. The England number one has really suffered in recent years as his performance is constantly under the microscope. I feel that there was a period of time Hart thought himself semi invincible and when City won the league I think he thought he had 'made it'. Wrong. Especially as a goalkeeper he has over a decade of football left in him and with some decent competition in form of Fraser Forster and John Ruddy knocking on the door. With the World Cup looming in Brazil next summer Hart will want to make sure of his place in the first team and I can see the results against Villa and Bayern giving him the much needed wake up call he so desperately needed. He just needs to bring back the form that saw City win the league and if you look at his England record, the national team have only lost twice in the thirty-five games he has played. Sure it is one of those stats which you can twist or manipulate however you see fit (12 draws exist in those 35 games) but still that is at international level, it is hardly his fault if lesser teams like San Marino are included in that number. The saying goes 'you can only beat what's in front of you' and I feel as long as Vincent Kompany continues his good form since injury and the rest of the team step it up a few notches then a return to form for City (and Hart) are on the cards. Everton and Romelu Lukaku will prove an adpt test for the Hart Foundation for sure.
