Bringing Ronaldo back to Old Trafford will not be a simple deal €“ as Madrid's marquee player he is of great value in a footballing and marketing sense, as befitting his status as one of the world's best footballers. The mind-games to bring Ronaldo back started last season during the second leg of Madrid's Champions League game against United at Old Trafford €“ the Portuguese's name was read out last on the tannoy, receiving the biggest cheer. The chances of a move were further increased by Ronaldo's reluctance to celebrate goals, his strained relationship with Jose Mourinho and his announcement that he felt 'sad' in the Spanish capital.
