3. There Are Positives

Despite a third consecutive loss and fifth game without scoring, there were positives to take from the game and Pardew absolutely has to try and concentrate on these. For the first twenty minutes against Chelsea and Manchester City, Palace were more than a match for their illustrious opponents and their heads only went down after conceding the crucial first goal. Against Aston Villa and again against City, Palace carved out the first clear opportunity that, if they had scored, might have changed the complexion of the games entirely. There might be some straws being grasped at there but what else are you supposed to do when things get this bad?
